Motorola Wireless Network Advice
« on: June 14, 2016, 12:23:57 PM »
Hi All,

I have recently acquired some Wireless networking kit and would greatly appreciate some help on setting it up. The kit consists of:

1 x Motorola RFS7000 switch
2 x Motorola AP5131
2 x Motorola AP300

I am able to configure ports to logon via http for all devices. I am just unsure how to integrate them into the network to use as wireless access points for users. Our LAN consists of 2 x core switches with several edge switches connected to each for redundancy. We have 5 VLANS setup.

Does anyone know if it is possible to setup one of the AP5131s as an Access Point without the need for the switch? Ideally i just need a small amount of wireless network coverage for a couple of users laptops to connect to the LAN.
Thanks for any help you can provide.
