USB serial RS232 adapter for laptop
« on: September 22, 2013, 12:32:03 AM »
I need to connect an older temperature controller which has a RS232 connector to my laptop which only has USB ports. Am I correct that I should be able to use a usb serial rs232 adapter to connect it to my laptop? Are there any other ways to do it?

Or you could use a terminal server like a 1 port or 4 port Opengear appliance.

Good Luck!

There are also RS232/Bluetooth adapter available. Cool think here is you can connect wireless via bluethooth to  your switch :)
Itīs always the networks fault!
