Out-of-band serial 3G/4G access devices
« on: March 31, 2014, 07:09:01 PM »
Looking for suggestions for 3G/4G Cellular serial terminal devices for out-of-band access.  Specifically, something either setting up a VPN tunnel and or SSH access to a terminal server for serial access to network equipment, sort-of a "throw-down" appliance I can send with a level 1 person out to the field to attach to a switch or router serial port.

Basically a secure cellular version of a Lantronix terminal server.

I am a big fan of the open gear products.

Check out the ACM5500 , it should fit your needs.

Actually was looking at the Lantronix PremierWave product with the Wyless service bundle.  Have been the happy user of the Lantronix Ethernet-to-Serial UDS2100 (and UDS1100) boxes for years.

Still in the info gathering stage at this time.
