OSPF Network Propagation.
« on: August 24, 2016, 03:17:51 AM »
Hi People,

I have a query in OSPF regarding how to block a subnet from not getting advertised in OSPF.

I have two routers in OSPF area 0 and have three different networks configured on both routers.
If i want to block a subnet from not getting propagated into OSPF with OSPF enabled on its interface, Is that possible.

I do not want to use ACLs, Route Policies or make the interface a STUB area for acheiving this.

Thanks in Advance.

VRF the networks.
Or, use non-0.0.0.0 OSPF networks and then your advertisements will only stay within that area.
Ovbiously, use OSPF passive to prevent others on those segments from joining and injecting unwanted routes!
Those are the simple things.
