Motorola vs. Cisco wireless

What are the most siginificant advantages/disadvantages of Zebra(Motorola) wireless system over Cisco?
What is comparable to RFS4010 controller and AP6521 or AP621?

Hi Ondrej and welcome.

There are going to be a fair number of technical differences but both are solid products in my opinion.

You would look at the 2500 series controller from Cisco and perhaps the AP 2700 or 3700 series depending on how many 802.11ac streams you're looking for.

Good Luck!

Hi Micahel and thank you!
I need it for WMS, and there is no heavy traffic. There are some old terminals like MC9090, Psion Teklogix 7535,... Which system is better for legacy devices in meaning of roaming.

What would you prefer if there is no wireless network at all?

On the Motorola/Zebra side, take a look at the AP8432/8533 access points. You may not think you need them yet, but you may also be surprised how quickly you end up with devices that want the new features.

I've used both with success.

I've used the Motorola RFS7000 and AP650 in Healthcare and the Cisco WLC 5508 and AP3702 and AP2702 in Retail and both worked well. I haven't priced the Zebra/Motorola solution but I would think they'll be more competitive given their current market position.

Good Luck!
