Anyone upgraded to IOS 7 yet and what do you think?
« on: September 22, 2013, 06:48:45 AM »
I have recently upgraded to IOS 7 :)

It took quite a long time on my iPad mini.  30 minutes to download 718 Mb on the day of release (if you have 3.1 Gig free).  Then a further 15 minutes to prepare for the install and after a verification step with Apple the actual install took another 15 minutes.
I personally like the new GUI, a lot slicker and easier to use, with some very nice new features :)

Will start upgrading my various iPhones very soon?

My daughter had to recreate her WiFi profiles on her 4S.
Haven't attempted the iPad yet.
My boss's iPad - the upgrade tossed a 17 app updates into the mix, which broke a few others.  He had to down grade some of his apps.

I personally have had no issues with upgrading to IOS 7 on my iPad and iPhones.  Everything just worked :)

I also upgraded my iPhone 4S & 5 and it went very well.  It looks like to me IOS 7 works even better on the iPhone than the iPad?  It is early days yet but I think IOS 7 has also been tweaked to save battery life?

I have only noticed one thing so far.  The new 'Airdrop' feature is not available on the iPhone 4S and currently only works between iPhones and iPads.  It looks like it uses WiFi and Bluetooth to transfer files securely where the iMac currently only uses WiFi :(

iOS 7 is my first taste of the apple experience.

I like the clean look.
