Anyone has experience with Dell Networking?
« on: March 20, 2014, 01:03:57 AM »
Hello Guys,
Forgive me if I'm being silly in my questions!!!

This thread is extracted from a thread I have posted earlier regarding "Replacing/Upgrade 8600 Core Switches" https://forums.networkinfrastructure.info/general-discussion/replacingupgrade-nortel-8600-core-switch/msg15972/#msg15972

I guy who advised about replacing my current networks with Dell Networking Products. I'm wondering if anyone has experience with Dell Networking and give some recommendations.

Highly appreciate your cooperation.

Regards,

All I know about Dell switches is not good.

The original dell switch products are cheep switches with that I had only trouble.
Dell aquired Force10 , these parts are a littlebit more professional.

IMHO
I would never replace an ERS8600 with Dell gear.  If you donīt wont to use Avaya switches for your replacemnt take a look at Cisco, Juniper or Brocade.

Cheers
Itīs always the networks fault!

Alternative options are Juniper, Ubiquiti, and Aruba network switches. Colleagues I have worked with said they were great and functioned really well.  :)
