Windows 8 and Cisco ACS
« on: February 20, 2014, 08:50:27 PM »
We have been having an issue where Windows 8 machines will not authenticate on the WLAN.  It was diagnosed by Microsoft and we were told it is an issue with the default timeout value in Cisco ACS of 120 minutes.  Curious if anyone else is having Windows 8 issues that is using Cisco ACS as a backend radius.

I haven't yet deployed Windows 8 but that's definitely something we'll test in our image build process.

Cheers!

Interesting.  We are not running any production Windows 8 machines after experiencing a huge security hole with IE11 and SSL certs.

We are running Juniper Wireless with a direct connection to the Microsoft AD system for authentication.
We tried a middle-man Radius component and ran into issues with PEAP.

Interesting, we were planning on migrating to Windows 8 soon. This is an issue I'll have to test. Cheers!
