Unable to view ASDM real time logs

When I log on to the Cisco FW ASDM I open the real-time log viewer for a rule. I can see there are hits because the hit count is increasing. However, nothing is showing up in the log. I have tried enabling Notifications as well as Debugging.

Hi,

I believe you have to select 'Show all' to get a log snapshot as real time doesn't appear to be working?

I prefer using Monitoring>logging>view and building the filter to view real-time data :)

The problem is I have an any / subnet / ip rule I am trying to redefine.  So if I don't know what is coming through I can't whittle it down. I looked at the build filter feature but it won't let me filter based on rule number, just source and IP which kinda defeats the purpose of what I am trying to do bc it will show me everything in the rules before this one particular rule.  Does that make sense?

Hi,

I can only recommend to try the 'show all' button as that shows a snapshot of all the traffic allowed at that current time?
