msg from a SNMP gui and snmpwalk
« on: February 05, 2015, 03:41:17 PM »
Hi All

I am dealing with some networking devices that are upgradeable via SNMP ,or at least you can flag them to upgrade by writing to the oids:

.1.3.6.1.2.1.69.1.3.1 docDevSwServer
.1.3.6.1.2.1.69.1.3.2 docDevSwFilename
.1.3.6.1.2.1.69.1.3.3 docDevSwAdminStatus

when I try to get these oids using snmpwalk or ManageEngines MibBrowser I get

Sent GET request to 172.168.101.139 : 161
Request Failed: Get Response PDU received from 172.168.101.139 Error Indication in response: There is no such variable name in this mib. Errindex: 1

no is that just becase you need to write something there for it to exist?

Hi Rob,

It looks like those OID strings do not exist on the Network device?
