Brocade UDLD vs. Cisco UDLD?
« on: October 08, 2014, 05:32:58 PM »
Just had a thought and wonder if anyone knows the answer.  Brocade has a protocol they call UDLD for unidirectional link detection of interfaces.  Very much like Avaya's VLACP protocol.  Now Cisco also has UDLD (they made it in the first place).  Does anyone know if Brocade UDLD devices and Cisco UDLD devices are compatible?

Just FYI, I found the answer in Brocade's documentation.

"The UDLD protocol is not compatible with Cisco’s proprietary UDLD protocol"
