HTTPS/SSL Encryption is now enabled
« on: January 04, 2015, 07:49:26 PM »
I've decided to enable HTTPS/SSL encryption on this site.

Any user visiting the site will be redirected to https://forums.networkinfrastructure.info.

While HTTPS/SSL won't ensure that this site doesn't fall victim to some hacker or intruder it will guarantee that your credentials (username and password) will be transmitted securely between your mobile or computer and the server that hosts this site. I personally use a number of public hotspots so this change will ensure that my credentials are secure from prying eyes.

The certificate was provided by RapidSSL and was relatively easy to install into Nginx.

You might experience problems or issues if you are using an older web browser.

Please report any issues or problems in the Support Forum.

Cheers!
