What books do you use?
« on: December 05, 2011, 10:07:24 AM »
I've been working on some side projects recently and one involves writing a web front-end in PHP and JavaScript (jQuery) with a MySQL database that interacting with a few external data feeds. It's been a lot of fun but a steep learning curve. I found an older copy of Learning jQuery from Packt Publishing on Usenet (alt.binaries.cbts - which by the way is rampant with trojans and virii) and I liked it so much that I purchased an updated copy directly from Packt Publishing along with a second book, jQuery 1.3 with PHP. I must say I really enjoyed reading the eBook (PDF) on my Motorola Xoom.

I've been searching Google Books and Amazon but haven't really found a great source for technical Information Technology related books. What's everyone else using?

Here's the two books I just picked up (eBook) from Packt Publishing;
jQuery 1.3 with PHP
Learning jQuery, Third Edition

Cheers!
