Hi Mihais,

The password is stored within flash memory and not on the actual hard disk of the VPN router. You'll either need to know the admin password or the IP address in order to factory reset the VPN router. You may be able to determine the router's IP address by performing a packet capture of the local area network and see what source IP address the device is using once it boots up.

While you've already commented in the blog I'll post the URL here for those that will follow you;

Good Luck

Hi Lightstorm and welcome to the forums!

As mentioned above it's not possible to factory reset the box without having the IP address. Short of that you'll need to RMA the router to Nortel/Avaya for repair.

Good Luck!

PS: I've deleted your post on the blog, no need to make duplicate requests under different usernames, Bruce Lee.
