After VPN connection same ip and gateway with no internet

After connecting I receive the same ip and gateway and cannot get out to the Internet.  I know this is something i have just over looked so be nice. I can ping anything on the network and all dns servers. Thanks.

You need to create an address pool on the NVR (Nortel VPN Router) and then associate that address pool with your IPSec profile/group configuration.

Assuming you are configuring an IPSec tunnel you should get two IP addresses. When the tunnel is up your administrator (you?) needs to configure and allow either split tunneling or inverse split tunneling. By default (without split tunneling) the PC will start routing all traffic over the IPSec tunnel so the only thing you can communicate with are devices on the VPN or the other side of the tunnel.

Pool is created and I received an ip address in that range, however the ip address and gateway are the same. Is that normal?

Scratch everything. Thanks for your help just needed to sleep on it. Found another place were I needed to change my primary server. Thanks again
