Hello everyone,
Question regarding provisioning files.
It is mentioned in the IP Phone Fundamentals document (NN43001-368_05.03 release 6.0) that you may specify a zone or group to provide provisioning information to an IP set. This is accomplished by setting file=z; and zone="zone name" in the system.prv file.
My set up is the following:
IP phone 1120, 1140, 1220, 1230 : UNIStim 3.3
MS 2k3 Server DHCP
Data vlan: opt191 - VLAN-A:xxx.
Voice vlan: opt128 - Nortel-i2004-B,s1ip=xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx;p1=xxxx;a1=1;r1=10;s2ip=xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx;p2=xxxx;a2=1;r2=10;zone=testA;menupwd=xxxxxxxx;menulock=f;lldp=n;igarp=y;prov=xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx;
system.prv: file=z;
I am not able to add the file=ztd; into the Nortel-i2004-B string as indicated on pg 475 of the ntp. It causes the phone to hang at 'Starting DHCP' indefinitely. Currently, if I want to have multiple zones, I am forced to specify a zone id in the Nortel-i2004-B string and file=z; in the system.prv file.
My question is this: Are you able to specify more than one zone at a time in the system.prv file? If so, what is the syntax for doing so? Nortel effectively points out the syntax for single zone, but not multiple. Is it even possible (it seems to be with 'type' or 'device')? I have combed the web and all apparently related documentation on Nortel's site, but have not been able to find the answer.
Additionally, can anyone tell me what 'unid' (Unique network identification) is used for?
I apologize if I've overlooked something simple. Have mercy and please steer me in the right direction if possible.
