I2002 not registering
« on: April 12, 2010, 04:43:46 PM »
Hi Mike ~ I'm new to your forum - so I appreciate your support on this one.

We have two users at a remote site on i2002 phones homed to CS100B that were registered to our CS100E - These two phones lost registration to the CS100E - they show LOCAL in the display - we've outed them from the data base and rebuilt the TN's on both sides - they continue to stay in Local mode -

now this morning I noticed that BUID was missing on the TNB at the CS100B (remote end) - here's where it gets interesting... when I inserted the BUID of 3501 - the phone doesn't come back - IDU reply of NPR048

Really not sure why this phone has gone kaput - I've tried to out and rebuild - no luck

Thanks for the support,

mrclean613

Hello Mr. Clean and welcome to the forums.

It sounds like you've already done a lot of work. You don't need to out and rebuild the TN. There were a few bugs in the older phone firmware where the phone wouldn't "exit" local mode until it was rebooted.

With that said you might have made things worse but let's see what we can find.

What firmware are you running on the phones?

If the phone is in 'Local Mode' just reset/reboot it manually or via the Signaling Server by the command line interface (CLI). The phone should reboot and go 'forward' to the main office CS1000E assuming that the TN is configured properly. You should be able to telnet into the Signaling Server of the CS1000B and see the phone connecting.

We often have this problem after a scheduled outage that was longer than say 30 minutes in duration. We usually need to log into the Signaling Server(s) on the CS1000B and issue a iSetResetAll to reboot/reset every IP phone that is connected to those Signaling Servers. If the IP phone is registered to the CS1000E it should NOT show up on the Signaling Servers that are associated to the CS1000B. (I'm starting to confuse myself...).

Have you rebooted the IP phones?

Good Luck!
