« on: January 27, 2012, 08:27:46 AM »
Hi!

I'm unable to tell my phones (1140e) to get the correct (s)ntp-time.
Could anyone help my by providing the correct line(s) for the config to tell them, to connect and receive sntp-time?

Thanks a lot!!

Yours
Jan

btw: this is, what I have set...

SNTP_ENABLE YES
SNTP_SERVER 0.de.pool.ntp.org

You have to use the IP address of the server instead:

Pinging 0.de.pool.ntp.org [78.46.221.42]

Try:

SNTP_ENABLE YES
SNTP_SERVER 78.46.221.42

Hi Jan and welcome to the forums!

You didn't mention if you are using the SIP or UNIStim firmware.

You should probably rely on the date/time provided by your SIP provider. The date/time should be in GMT format. You just need to add the following line to your provisioning files;

# Set Timezone to Eastern Standard Time (-5 hours * 60 min * 60 sec)
DST_ENABLED YES
TIMEZONE_OFFSET -18000
FORCE_TIME_ZONE YES

You can refer to this Avaya document for all the different options and parameters;

Good Luck!
