1120E evaluation license warning
« on: October 21, 2011, 02:25:17 PM »
I've got a customer with 1120E IP phones, UNIStim 5.0. For some reason they have an evaluation license installed for 3rd party secure call recording. License type is Node Locked, status Active, evaulation period expires in 20 days.

I want to get that license off the phones because they are all displaying a message stating the evaluation period is going to expire and it's making the users think their phones will stop working in three weeks. It's not a necessary license as these phones are not in a call center. No idea how it got on the phones.

Does anyone have any experience with the Node Locked feature licenses? I've been through every document to which I have access (which is quite a lot) and have found several procedures for installing licenses, but none for getting them off the phone. Hopefully it doesn't involve anything like a factory default reset.

Thanks for any help!

Hi michelangelof536 and welcome to the forums!

What version of Avaya Call Server (CS1000) are these IP phones connecting?

Cheers!

They're connecting to a CS1000E HA release 7.00Q running on CP-PMs. Signaling servers are Dells running Linux Base 7.00.20, with EM/SS/NRS apps and a Primary and Secondary UCM security server. We do have some phones in a call center that are actually using the 3rd Party call recording, but they have had actual licenses installed and will not expire until next July.

Thanks!

Mike
