RMON capabilities
« on: June 01, 2010, 01:27:04 AM »
hi everyone

i'm trying to walk RMON MIB on a 8600 and also on BS425/470 and other material...
But i just can walk "statistics" group ; it seems to be the most popular group and the most implemented on material. But what about the others RMON group such as hosts and hoststopN? i can't walk them ? is there something to create/enable ?  or these group are not implemented by default ? i thought RMON was such a network probe directly in the switch.
thanks for sharing.

greetings
cris

I believe RMON needs to be enabled globally and then needs to be enabled per port.
