Thanks for all the valuable information that you have made available for all Nortel techies around the world.
I am from South Africa, and would like your input with regards to a challenge we are experiencing on our Nortel LAN. Our SAP infrastructure hangs off two seperate 5520 stacks of two switches each linked via an IST. We are experiencing issues where the IST drops intermittently and would like to know why this is occurring.

I'm happy to hear that you've found the information useful.

What version of software are you running on your 5520s?

The information you posted in your attachment only shows a single (1) IST down event although it shows quite a few port down events. Why do you think your having an issue with the IST? If you had dozens or hundreds of IST down events then you might have an issue. That single event could have been the other cluster pair not booting up in time the first time this cluster switch was booted.

What do the IST stats from the other 5520 stack indicate? What do the logs indicate? (show log sort-reverse)

Let us know and we'll try to help although I would be curious why you suspect the IST.
