LACP with different VLANS
« on: May 28, 2010, 04:55:58 PM »
Hi,

I'm a newbie so please forgive me if I am not doing this correctly.

I have a stack of 2 5510 switches.  I had a previously configured LACP group with a port on each swicth with the same VLAN.  This worked fine.  However, we are just installing a new Netapp filer and have been advised to split into 2 VLANS but still use LACP on the ports.  I, eventually :), set-up the port on the second switch on the VLAN by first disabling LACP.  However when I tried to re-enable LACP I got the error

bsleDot3adAGGPrtExtAdminEnabled.67 inconsistentValue

Is what I am trying to do possible ?

Many thanks

Dave

You can certainly trunk multiple VLANs over a LACP (802.3ad) link. Do you have the ports set as trunks (TagAll)?

Good Luck!
