Inserting new CPU
« on: August 21, 2011, 01:29:06 PM »
I will be installed a new CPU in slot 5 on a 8300 has same code 4.2.2 as the active CPU in slot 6
Is there anything else I should do  before and after inserting blade 5 besides the 2 commands below? Thanks.

Slot 6
Save boot
Save config

Hi Vinnie,

if you have a LAB Chassis, I would copy the configs to the new CPU before inserting it.
It is not nessesary, but if you test the CPU moduloe anyway, you can also put the original configs on it.

I would also set the following flag to keep the configs syncron.

flags savetostandby true

Good Luck

Thanks Dominik,

We have decided to skip the LAB Chassis step dues to the possibility of not having the same exact blades configuration.
flags savetostandby true has been confirmed.

Have a great day,
