ethernet module in ERS8300 not working

 Hi All,

     Kindly help us to troubleshoot the issue ethernet module not working in ERS8300 switch. All the ports in the ethernet module unable to send/receive anything. Removed and reseated the module and rebooted the switch a couple of times. No error messages seen in console. Disabled/enabled the port through device manager but still the issue persists. Kindly advice.

We really need more information than you've posted...

Have you examined your configuration?
Have you examined the logs?
What version of software?
What model of card is in the slot?
Which slot?
How did this break?

An easy place to start is connect a device to a port and start a constant ping, then look at the ifInOctets and ifOutOctets on that port, are they incrementing? If they are then you have a configuration problem with the port.

Hi Mike,

    Thanks for your assistance. The module which has been working the previous day has suddenly broken today. CCTV's application gets connected it for one of our clients. We can infer some duplex mismatch in the cpu module in slot 5. attaching the logs for your reference. Kindly suggest.
