I'm looking some information about Release 6.0 by Passport 8600, in Nortel only is the Release 5 and release 7, somebody know what happen with Release 6.

There was no release 6.x ... they skipped it and went straight to 7.

Here's the story behind that one...

The original intent by Nortel was to merge the software for the Ethernet Routing Switch 8600 (ERS) and Metro Ethernet Routing Switch 8600 (MERS) back into the same software stream. Since MERS already had a 6.x software release the decision was made to skip the 6.x for the ERS and go straight to 7.x. This way customers running ERS and MERS 7.x would be running the same exact software and not be confused by all the different releases.
