Change 1 minute interval MRTG-RRD
« on: December 27, 2011, 10:55:47 AM »
Hello Michael,

I came collecting statistics of interfaces with mrtg-rrd with an interval of five minutes, now I have changed the interval to one minute and see that it is not possible to change the "step" in my RRDs.
You are using rrdtool for some time, you know if I can change this value without losing previous data?

Sorry for my poor English

Thanks

Gus

Hi Gus,

I would suggest searching Google for some ideas. It's not hard at all...

https://www.google.com/search?q=1+minute+rrd+mrtg&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a

You will need to create new RRDs because the sampling interval will be different. So any old data will need to be "archived".

Good Luck!
