ERS 8300 10GB module support
« on: August 26, 2011, 06:38:27 AM »
 Hi,

We have an ERS 8300 and we want to change one module form 1GB to 10GB. The ERS runs with an image version of  4.2. Could you please confirm whether this image version will support 10GB module. Also do i need to make any configuration changes in ERS 8300 if the image version 4.2 supports 10 GB module.

Regards
Raghu

Hi Raghu and welcome to the forums!

I believe the 8308XL is supported in release 4.2, you can probably confirm by reviewing the release notes of the specific release you are running from Avaya's support website.

Good Luck!

Hi Raghu,

10Gb is supported from the release 4.2.

http://support.avaya.com/css/P8/documents/100097326

There where some problems with the port statistics for 10GB ports in 4.2, ithink they are fixed in one of the later 4.2.x releases.

Good Luck
