WLAN2360
« on: June 17, 2011, 04:11:13 PM »
All -

I have a red bar of passphrase when i manual entering handset 62xx. Based on the authenticate configured in WLAN2360. here is the configure of WPA-PSK of WLAN2360

2360#set service-profile voice ssid-name voice
2360#set service-profile voice auth-failthru last resort
2360#set service-profile voice wpa-ie enable
2360#set service-profile voice psk-phrase <enter-a-passphrase>. I think i added 25 characters long
2360#set service-profile voice auth-psk enable
2360#set service-profile voice auth-dot1x disable

My question is Do i need to use WPA generator before re-configured in WLAN2360 again?

Thanks, KT

The trick here is that one is asking for the "phrase" while the other is asking for the key. Is it possible to configure the 2360 with the actual key instead of the phrase?

If not you'll need to use a generator that can generate the key from the passphrase.

Good Luck!

I have no idea... I don't have any of the Avaya wireless equipment.

Are you using the HAT tool (Handset Administration Tool) with the 6100 series IP phones? You mentioned 6200 series, I'm not familiar with them.

Anyway with the 6100 series IP phones you can attach the handset to the PC via USB and use the HAT tool to program the phone. It allows you to enter the PSK passphrase and will convert it to a key given the ESSID (WLAN).

Good Luck!
