I wanted to know the difference between the two SNMP OIDs vlanCurCfgTableEntry and vlanNewCfgTable.
The former has a messed up OIDs for name and the port name and the vlan state which is used. The good part is the later table has the correct information.
I wanted to confirm whether the later one has been added deliberately to overcome the problems which is present in vlanCurCfgTableEntry.

Hi Tejas and welcome to the forums!

You might want to change your display name from your email address... the spammers will start bombing your mailbox.

The HP GbE2 and GbE2c switches utilize the Alteon OS so you need to commit/apply any configuration changes before they take effect. The OID vlanNewCfgTable is for any VLANs that are created but not applied to the configuration. The OID vlanCurCfgTableEntry is for any VLANs that are currently existing.

Cheers!
