I'm the first, I'm the first
Anyway, hello everyone,
I have about 20 Alteon 2424 application switches, but am trying tio find out what the latest code is for them. Currently the majority I have are running 23.0.3.4.
Am I right that Nortel don't do these anymore. I can't find anything on their site. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Regards
Stu

Hi Stu,
Radware acquired the Alteon product line from Nortel
http://blog.michaelfmcnamara.com/2009/12/radware-alteon-is-back/
If you had a maintenance contract at the time you should have been contacted by Radware.

I have two 2416s although I haven't been out to the Radware support site since they acquired the product.
Good Luck!

Gents-
the latest is AAS 25.1.0.0 2000 Minor Release | 9/14/2009
Radware has changed licensing on the box, there is now a base license...

The 25.1.0.0 release is also the re-branding release.
If you want to keep your existing config you'll need to do a couple of step upgrades if you don't want to loose any settings. Also after completing the upgrade we noticed the management was available on all interfaces...management can be turned on/off on a per-port basis with the newer code release.

Thanks for the update! I should probably check out the release notes...
I love the Alteon product, it just works and works and works once it's been configured and setup.

Remember to step upgrade your releases....the latest 23 release, a 24 release, early 25 release, and then current 25 release. Also remove the password before upgrade and reapply once you are done the encryption process has changed.
