Hi all,
I'm having a problem a problem in some customer that are using:
RFS6000 - FW 4.3.3
AP300
PDT 6846/VRC6946

The network configuration is WEP, because the client doesn't support more...
Every time the client connect to the RFS, i can see on the log files the follwing message:
Nov 15 01:26:50 2011: %CC-4-STATIONSSIDERR: Station 00-A0-F8-A3-F1-96 denied association to radio 5 : ssid (XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX) is not supported on radio
Nov 15 01:26:54 2011: %CC-4-STATIONSSIDERR: Station 00-A0-F8-A3-F1-96 denied association to radio 5 : ssid (XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX) is not supported on radio

Nov 15 01:27:16 2011: %CC-4-STATIONSSIDERR: Station 00-A0-F8-B1-3F-F1 denied association to radio 35 : ssid (XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX) is not supported on radio
Nov 15 01:27:16 2011: %CC-4-STATIONSSIDERR: Station 00-A0-F8-B1-3F-F1 denied association to radio 35 : ssid (XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX) is not supported on radio
Some times the client can operates on the RFS, but when it make roaming, it never associates again, only when i reboot it...
The happens only on RFS6000/RFS7000, because this same customer also has WS5100 running FW 3.3.4 with AP300 and everything is OK.
Have it ever happen to you some of you?

I would initially guess that this is a configuration issue. Have you created a deny MAC list?

There are two references on the net to the PDT 6846 having issues with roaming;
https://docs.symbol.com/KanisaPlatform/Publishing/915/WID-00028_f.SAL_Public.html?userId=37
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/solutions/collateral/ns340/ns414/ns779/C96-60914600_config_best_practices_for_motorola_st.pdf

What Mbps rates to you have enabled on the radios? Perhaps you have inadvertently disabled the 1/2Mbps rates?

With that said this is a very old device although it's a Symbol device so I would think it should probably still work on an Motorola (formerly Symbol) Wireless LAN Switch.

I would look at the configuration... perhaps the PDTs are set to Spring RF protocol mode?

Good Luck!

The configuration is right my friend i'm pretty sure, it very basic(wep/securebeacon) nothing else.
I can get all stuff working disabling the firewal on RFS6000/7000.
Once I enable it all client 6846/VRC6946 goes down on roaming, except my Intermet CV30/MC9090/IND FTF/Voice T2x/T5/T2....
But for example if i have the firewall up, and configure all AP300 and without the Suported radio 6,9,36etc... and keep the basic 1,2,5.5,11 i works fine....
