Starting this past Monday Nortel employees that were offered a position with Avaya started their transition and orientation. I've heard from a few former Nortel employees that are going through numerous conference calls and meetings as Avaya tries to bring their new employees up to speed.
In a positive sign I did notice that Avaya has successfully migrated their new (Nortel) employee email accounts. I sent a few messages to a few different former Nortel employees and received a response from their Avaya email account. I also received a few Out of Office auto-responders such as below;

I also noticed that they are now promising to have a product roadmap and product portfolio available by January 19, 2010.
