New Cisco Forum
« on: September 12, 2009, 02:15:44 PM »
While there are literally dozens of great Cisco forums out there I decided to throw one up here.

I've recently been asked to help manage a Cisco network that is comprised of a Catalyst 6500 switch, 3560 switches, 2960 switches and 2950 switches along with 2500 and 2600 series routers. Add to that quite a few Cisco Aironet 1200 Access Points and there is quite a bit of equipment to manage.

I hope to post to best practices and configuration templates as I develop them.

Cheers!

I can post some if that's ok. I work with Cisco devices everyday. I have implemented various best practises and revised some of the "best practises".

Michael,

I think we as a forum now have quite a bit of Cisco experience between us to make a difference?
I can't believe that there are still 2500 series routers out there doing their stuff.  Just shows how good they were/are?  :)

@Flintstone I would agree with you. We can "split" up the Cisco forum into multiple forums like we did with the Avaya/Nortel forums.

How about the following;
 - Switching and Routing
 - Remote Access (AS5350)
 - VPN and Firewalls (PIX,ASA)
 - Application Control (ACE)
 - Wireless

@david_vega you're welcome to post as much or as little as you'd like.

Thanks!

Michael,

At the moment I don't think we are getting enough Topics/Posts to justify 'splitting' up the Cisco forum into multiple forums, but if things change?
